The Department of Public Diplomacy is responsible for articulating Botswana’s positions and messaging on international issues, as well as promoting her image and credentials as a respected and influential player on the global platform.

In this regard, the Department leverages on soft power, public outreach, and digital mediums to inform, facilitate dialogue, and build understanding on the country’s foreign policy narratives and architecture, as well as encourage international goodwill towards Botswana.

Moreover, through strategic communication, media engagement, cultural relations, people-to-people exchanges, digital diplomacy, diaspora engagement and thought leadership, the Department showcases Botswana and advances her national interests abroad.
